The long-awaited Minecraft 1.8 Update, also known as the ˝Adventure Update˝ was released. You can now click on the Minecraft launcher and start downloading it.
My favorite addition are the villages with no NPC’s in them, but don’t worry Notch said that the villagers are coming in the next update. There are also abandoned mineshafts and strongholds with no bosses in them. They also improved the lighting system, it just looks amazing when you put down a torch in a cave for example. There are a lot of cool additions in the game that have no meaning to them. Yet. For example there is an experience system that doesn’t do anything. You can kinda level up but there is no benefit from it. 1.8 Added a number of new things to the game, but calling it the adventure update is kinda of a stretch.
The game still lacks several core features required for adventure game. 1.9 update will be the real adventure update in my opinion, because it will add those missing core features that the game needs. I also have a question for you guys.
